Aerial view of Francis while it was being constructed.  The framework for the first two floors is finished, while the chapel and upper floors have yet to be completed.

Most of the seminary is completed.  The eastern wing is not yet finished and the tower is yet to reach its full height.  Once the tower was completed, a bell was put up there.  It was the John Cardinal Farley Memorial Bell  taken from St. Gabriel's church in New York City.

The cornerstone is laid by Reverend John T. O'Hara, C.S.C., D.D for Christ the King Seminary on October 16, 1951.  Standing to the right of him is Reverend Peter Biasiotto, O.F.M.
